Since we are only 18 days away from our wedding things are getting closer and I am not nervous about getting married, but I am more nervous about the wedding planning process. Once again, we are trying to do everything ourselfs and there are lot of work, some of it were not expected, but as I was telling Vicky, it is all a learning experience, maybe advice we can give to our kids in the future.

Anyways, I figure I should list out our proposed timeline for the day of the wedding. Once again, if you have any questions, please let me know.

MOST IMPORTANT
WEDDING CERMONY BEGINS at 3:00 pm on February 5th.

Our proposed timeline

1:00 Setup begins in the Parish Hall
1:30 Wedding Cake arrives
1:50 Photographer and florist setup (Bridal Party Arrives)
2:00 Formal Photographs begin in the Church
2:30 Formal Photographs stop
2:30-2:50 Ushers formally seats guests
2:50 Bridal Party is ready for Procession
3:00 Procession begins for the cermony
3:00-4:00 Wedding Ceremony
4:00-5:15 Reception at the Blessed Sacrament Social Hall

With only 20 Days left to go, things are heating up.
But today we made alot of progress.

1) I’ve got our tux lined up. 🙂 … hee hee looking sharp 😉

2) Vicky has been working on the center piece flowers.

3) Vicky lined up alot othe coordination work for the day of the wedding. She is an amazing girl.

4) Got the initial menu for our reception, I will post it as soon as we get it finalized.

5) Decided to add a Video Guy record the event. We are still talking to different guys so we will be finalizing it soon.

6) Finally, We ordered our wedding cake. 🙂 See Vicky is picking out the details from Yummy.

Earlier this week, we got our marriage license. So you ask, “what the heck is a wedding license?” Does that mean you guys are married? Well, no… actually it does not, in Washington state, in order for a couple to get married, they need to apply for a marriage license. This marriage license allows the church to marry us. So yes, as of 01/10/2011, we are now legal to get married. 🙂 Yeah…. see you guys in a few weeks at or wedding. (FYI, 01/10/2011 is also the same day that Auburn University won the BCS national championship 😉

Hello Friend and Family,
As the wedding day approaches, there are many question and one of the question is where do I park?
I’ve attached a google map below telling you where to park and where to go. If you have any additional questions please let me know.

The Blessed Sacrament church has 2 parking lots. One large and one small. The large parking lot can hold around 65 cars and the small can hold around 10 cars. The smaller lot is mostly for handicap parking.

Street parking is also available, however, please try not to park right in front of the church since we will try to take some pictures exiting the church from the front.

The wedding invitations have been sent out at the end of 2010. Guest should be receiving them any day now. Please update the RSVP by Jan. 7th so we will have time to make sure that we have plenty of refereshments for our reception!!!

Happy New Year everyone!!!!
So we are back in town, recovering from our travels. Today was a productive day. It is the new year, but it is also a little over one month before our big day!!!! Vicky and I went around town today looking at wedding cake options. This should be finalized soon. more on the cake details soon!!!!

Hello Friend and Family from Beijing,

As you guys are probably aware that I am currently in Beijing with Vicky and her family. After carefully reviewing our situation, we decided to continue with our wedding as planned so both Vicky and I will both be back in Seattle on December 29th. The wedding will continue as planned on February 5th and We will hope to see everyone there.

An update on Vicky’s father’s condition. Mr Hu’s condition is stable and making good recovery progress from the surgery. The fever has finally gone away and he is started to eat a little bit. He is making progress, slow progress, but he’s making progress. Please still continue to keep him in your prayers.

Once again, we hope to see everyone on February 5th, 2011. Please start booking your flight and hotel rooms as soon as possible. If you need any assistance in where to stay, please let use know. Because of the recent events, we will talk to the local hotels once we get back to Seattle to see about a group rate, if there are interests.

Hello Friends and Family,
It has been a while since we updated the website and updated everyone on our wedding planning progress. The reason for the lack of update is because there has been a family emergency in China for Vicky. Vicky’s Father was diagnosed with stomach cancer and had to had his entire stomach removed. He is currently still slowly recovering. Vicky has been in China since Thanksgiving and will probably not return until the New Year. Please keep Vicky’s father in your prayers.

With that said, as of right now, I am continuing to plan for our wedding to be on Feburary 5th, 2011. However, if Vicky’s father’s situation doesn’t improve, there is a chance that we may postpone of our wedding. We will be sure to keep everyone updated. Once again, I am sorry for this inconvience.

As I stated earlier, I am still moving forward with the existing date and the current plan and I am planning to send out our formal invitations this week. So Please update your addresses on our website ASAP so I can send out our wonderful invitation to you.

As that bride invited, I headed back to the social hall with my wedding PM on the day after (Sat afternoon). It was raining and windy, which reminded me that I could get married at the exact same weather on Feb 5th. Oh…do not want to think about it.

We arrived a bit late around 4:30pm and the party was just over. However, this second visit made me go through further detailed information with my PM, including audio, layout, etc. My PM even drew a layout draft for me. Please see it below:
